Context

I started the HND (Higher National Diploma) in Photography last night. I've been coming to Tameside College for a few years now, studying first for a City & Guilds, and then HNC. A year's break and then back for a chance at a HND. And this will be the last time I can do Photography here. Wednesday night's photo club has been withdrawn (due to funding cuts) and there are no other photography courses I can do after this. So a last chance to use the developing and printing facilities (which I don't have at home). I will really miss this.

It's looking increasingly like a move to digital is being forced upon most photographers, since the excellent facilities that exist here are less and less commonly available.
